Angella Botoman
Malawi University of Science and Technology

Angella Botoman
Malawi University of Science and Technology
I am doing Medical Imaging. I am in year 3, at MUST
I would like to learn about research and becoming a researcher and publisher in my field. This is because in my field only few publications and research have been made, I believe there are many gaps thus a lot hasn’t been found. I would like to fill those gaps and also pave way for those coming after me. This would really improve radiology services which are offered in Malawi.

Alice Mazengera
Kamuzu University of Health Sciences
A Bachelor of Medical Science Student (hons) year 3
My research goals — I’m passionate about using innovation to solve real-world health challenges, particularly in maternal and neonatal health.
My research interests focus on improving healthcare delivery in low-resource settings by developing practical, community-based solutions to reduce preventable deaths among mothers and newborns.
I’m also drawn to infectious diseases and the role of molecular biology in advancing diagnostics and treatment.
As I grow in this field, I hope to contribute to research that blends innovation, public health and molecular science to strengthen health systems and promote equity in access to care.

Linda Kalumbi
Malawi University of Science and Technology
I am Linda Kalumbi,
Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Radiography), year 4, MUST
I have a strong passion for health research, driven by the need to improve patient care through accurate diagnosis. In many settings, including Malawi, there is a shortage of reliable data to guide clinical decisions. Through research, I hope to bridge this gap by contributing evidence-based solutions that support effective healthcare delivery and improved patient outcomes.
