Bio:
Alice is a Research Study Coordinator at Blantyre Malaria Project. She also works as a clinician and has
been coordinating various malaria and HIV studies in children since 2007. Currently she is coordinating a
clinical trial “Treating Brain Swelling in Paediatric Cerebral Malaria ”. Her other work is to ensure that
studies are being coordinated in an ethical manner. Alice is also a hand on clinician currently assisting with
management of paediatric childhood illnesses in the paediatric departments at QECH.
In her research carrier, Alice has co- authored Malaria and HIV studies (both observational and clinical trials
published at the Blantyre Malaria Project since 2012. She holds a master’s degree in public health from
KUHES and has a clinical medicine background. Her interest is in paediatric and child health research. Alice
hopes to pursue a PhD in Epidemiology.
